The Special Trip’s Project of OURSPACE main goal is to close - up the Polish history, particularly through the prism of two situations. They’re characteristic for the human’s history of the 20th Century. The Shoah’s tragedy with the Polish solidarity winning, are inherent factors of nowadays history. Without them, the history of contemporary world would be unimaginable.
To understand the present day of Europe and nowadays world, you must to understand Poland. The socialism’s political system dominated in 20th Century in the Middle and East European countries. It didn’t brake up in Hungarian revolution in 1956, and also neither in Czechoslovakia in 1968, nor in Germany – when the “Berliner’s wall” was broken.
As can we know from the 20th centuries historical sources, the socialism’s political system collapsed thanks to the Polish Pope John Paul the Second, the First Secretary of Communist Party of Soviet Union – Mikhail Gorbachev, the German Chancellor the Federal Republic of Germany – Helmut Kohl, and American President – Ronald Reagan.
These people using a method of multilateral negotiations, and open mind dialogs, led to the Victory of Polish solidarity. Without Solidarity, with its leader Lech Walesa – the winner of the Peace Nobel Prize (5th of October 1983) – it was unacceptable to talk about the contemporary, new, free world. Without the Solidarity social movement, it was impossible to break up the Berliner’s Wall, and „velvet peaceful parliamentary transformation”, as well. Without the Polish Solidarity movement, it was impossible to change anything, anywhere in Middle and East Europe. It was starting in Poland, indeed…
